How My Thinning Hair Almost Ruined My Life

By Alice Shellington

As a young girl the word tomorrow never had much meaning to me. Life had infinite probabilities. Going to college and playing outside with my friends was my largest concerns. If you are above the age of 35 you're going to relate to what I am about to say next.

At present I am a 42 years old girl with two youngsters, and a fabulous husband. I believed my life was perfect. Then one day as I was going through my morning regimen I noticed that my hair was thinning. I presumed, well, perhaps its stress. The children are older and more disaffected, and I remembered reading somewhere that stressed caused baldness. I didn't give it much more thought.

Roughly 30 Days Later

Here I was standing in the mirror once more. I was nearly certain that my hair was thinning, and it needed to be more than only stress. As I went through my day, I felt as if everyone that I encountered noticed my thinning hair. My self confidence hasn't ever been so low. My life was curving out of control. I started to distance myself from my kids, my hubby, and my work-mates.

I began trying each OTC treatment available on the market. I was continually online looking for miracle solutions. I attempted at least a six hair styles. For awhile that made me feel a little better, but the truth is my hair was continuing to fall out.

I read online that dying your hair a lighter colour was a good method to cover up thinning hair. It was imagine to make an illusion the hair was more dense. It appeared to work for awhile, but the truth is the actual facts.

After work one day, my man was sitting at the table. He asked me if I'd sit down. I thought to myself this was it. I had been so cold that he was going to ask me for a divorce. To my amazement he had been doing research on hair loss restoration. He knew what I was going through without me ever saying a word to him about it. He explained the advantages and drawbacks to me about the procedure.

Six Months After Having a Hair Transplant

My hair looked stunning, and the best part was it was my natural hair. It essentially looked better now than it probably did before it started thinning. I strongly recommend hair restoration to anyone afflicted with thinning hair.

Casting back over everything, I was astonished to discover the psychological effects that hair loss had on me. Thinning hair virtually demolished my life.
